Dragon Empire: eingestellt

Und ein weiteres vielversprechendes MMRPG hat es erwischt:
Dragon Empires wurde gecancelled.
Nähere Gründe werden wohl erst in den nächsten Tagen zu erfahren sein.

Dragon Empires development ceased due to technical issues
Codemasters has taken the decision to cancel further development of Dragon Empires, the company’s massively multiplayer online role playing project.
Dragon Empires received incredible support from its online community and won acclaim from PC and online media while in development. However, technical issues have resulted in the project’s discontinuation.
Many of the game’s development team, including programmers and artists, are being transferred to Codemasters’ internal development studios to work on current and future titles.
The decision to close Dragon Empires’ development does not impact on Codemasters’ long-term ambitions in the massively multiplayer online gaming market and the company remains very active in evaluating future opportunities.
The Dragon Empires website and its popular community forums will remain live at
http://www.codemasters.com/dragonempires for the immediate future.

Ich frag mich auch schon die ganze Zeit, ob auch irgendwann noch Alternativen übrig bleiben. Innovative MMORPGs, die "anders" sind. Aber nicht ganz so anders wie Neocron 2 ;)

Jo war abzusehen.. die Beta 0,5 war ja schon so lange zuende und die 1.0 kam und kam nicht.
Schade :(
Damit bleibt nichtmehr viel übrig :D

Wenn dir EQ2 und WoW nicht zusagen Babba, dann gibt es ja noch genug anderes Games die in der nächsten Zeit rauskommen bzw. im nächsten Jahr. Ich denke da nur an MEO oder B&L.

Ich fand es schlimmer das sie Warhammer Online eingestellt haben, dass Spiel hatte ein paar nette Ansaetze zu DE kann ich nicht viel sagen hatte mich damit nicht beschaeftigt also trifft mich das nicht so.

Dragon Empires newsletter - 3rd September
It is with much regret that we have today announced that we have now ceased further development of Dragon Empires due to technical issues we have recently experienced with the game.
This of course is extremely sad news for everyone concerned with the game. For regular visitors of our forums, these will remain active for the foreseeable future to give you the opportunity to give your feedback and keep in touch with your fellow Dragon Empires community members.
We are still very much committed to entering the MMORPG market and are currently evaluating other potential opportunities, keep your eyes and ears open for news in the not too distant future.
Thank you again for all your loyalty and support over the previous years and we only wish we could have rewarded your passion and enthusiasm with the final game.
